About The Owner
Ilanka Samarasekera has been in the Beauty business for over two decades. She first stared her career as a teenager and worked part time under the supervision of her her aunt Gladys Perera at the Salon Glady's Colombo, Sri Lanka.
For her advance training she attended Vidal Sassoon in London as well in SantaMonica where she participated hair and make up competitions. She opened her first business, Salon Shears, at Mount Lavinia Hotel in 1989 and successfully operated salons in Hotel Eden and Hotel Neptune catering for European clientele.

She has won many awards for best stylist and make up artist . she was the official hair dresser for Miss Tourism Sri Lanka,(1993,1994) and Miss Sri Lanka/USA. (current) Ilanka has worked closely with celebrities such as Malini Fonseka , Latha Walpola, and Angeline Gunathilake.
She founded Sigiri Lounge Salon in 2005 in fullerton, CA and has expanded to newer locations to Montclair and Cypress California. Creating Sigiri Brides is one of her hobbies making every Sri lankan Bride living in California the most beautiful and remarkable on their special day. The American clientele she built over a decade continues to follow her faithfully as her work is so unique and precise.
She is currently serving in Orange County, California as the master stylist with a highly trained staff. Her salons are open 7 days a week.
